2392 posts · Joined 2006. #1 · Apr 9, 2014. I'm doing some testing of the new Sunnybrook concaves for CR's in rice this season. Mine is a CR8090 with twin pitch rotors & adjustable top covers. The primary reason for looking for another concave is that the OEM is a reasonably good all round concave but I feel it could be better.

Estes Concaves. Don's grandson took the patent and started producing them independently under the name Estes. From what I understand, rather than fight it Don Estes sold the rights to Performance mfg who are now producing the original. This is one maxthresh in the front position and five sections of max round concaves behind that. I've been very happy and impressed with them over the OEM roundbars. This is in corn and soybeans.
